This Privacy Policy describes how Pytbyte Software ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Notified mobile application ("the App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create an account or use the App:
- Name and email address — provided during account registration
- Profile picture — optionally uploaded by you from your device gallery
- Device token (FCM) — generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications to your device
- Community and school subscriptions — the communities and schools you choose to follow inside the App
- Bookmarks — posts you save within the App
- Images and file attachments — uploaded by admin users when composing community posts or school notices
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To deliver push notifications for communities and schools you subscribe to
- To display your profile picture and name within the App
- To allow you to bookmark and revisit posts
- To enable admins to publish notices to their communities
- To improve the App through aggregated, anonymised analytics (Firebase Analytics)
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, file storage, push messaging, and analytics. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on Google Firebase servers and is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above, which are necessary for the App to function. Community and school admins can see the names of users who have joined their community.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Update or correct your profile information within the App
- Delete your account and all associated data — see our account deletion page
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
